The Golfsport Manufaktur wishes you a happy new year 2022!
We hope that everyone stays healthy and that we can welcome you again in the coming year.
The year 2021 was not easy for everyone and also very exhausting. Nevertheless, we did our best to give you the best possible offers so that you can keep training despite Corona.
Once again, we want to thank our customers and visitors for this great year. We are looking forward to the coming season with you and to further successes that we can achieve with and through you.
Now we want to give you a review of the year, about the successes we have achieved in 2021.
A successful performance by the Valley ladies opened the season for the club with a bang. Despite the absence of key players such as Sarina Schmidt or Verena Gimmy, our ladies fought their way to the top in an exceptional performance and were able to secure the prestigious title. For the second time, Valley was and is allowed to call itself the Bavarian women's team champion.
Bavarian Team Championships of the age groups 16 & 18
Valley sent its teams of the age groups 16 and 18 into the race at four locations at the same time. Thanks to the preceding intensive training, the team performance was excellently coordinated, especially in the foursomes, despite sometimes adverse weather conditions, and led to Valley becoming the four-time Bavarian runner-up for the first time in its club history.
Women's Bundesliga: Valley secures ticket to Final Four
Already on the first match days it became clear that Valley is among the best participants of the German Golf League this year. With the help of Valley's new team, the club was able to achieve second place on the last day of play. Thanks to the tireless performance of the Valley players, Team Valley was able to secure a place in the Final Four.
Dross&Schaffer Schäfflertanz International Open 2021
A big highlight this year was undoubtedly the Dross&Schaffer Schäfflertanz International Open. Three days and many hours of preparation were invested by the Golfsport Manufaktur and the main sponsor, the Dross&Schaffer Group, in order to make a special tournament highlight possible, especially for our young athletes. The tournament received international media coverage and was once again able to showcase our top young athletes. Justus Lück, together with Ben Kelling took part in the men's competition and Antonia Treitinger and Theresa Bodensteiner in the women's competition. They were able to achieve appealing successes.
LET within reach for Verena Gimmy
One of the most deserving players in the longstanding success of the 1st Valley women's team, Verena Gimmy, was able to support the team again this year with an outstanding performance. Thanks to her extraordinary willingness to train, she was also able to secure two top 5 results on the LET Access Tour. In December she played the LET Qualifying School. We wish Verena all the best and much success for her upcoming season!
Sarina Schmidt can chalk up great success on LET
After making it to the LET in 2020, the 22-year-old already showed great potential on the tour in the same year. This year, she finally made her international breakthrough at the first event of the Aramco Team Series. In a spectacular team performance, she realized victory together with her two colleagues and subsequently enjoyed widespread international coverage. All the best, Sarina!
Vince Lombardi once said "Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work [...]", individual commitment to the group - that is what makes teamwork work. That quote fits Valley's past season to a tee. For regardless of the great success Valley has enjoyed, team spirit has been the component that makes our club special. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the Weichselgartner family and especially all the volunteers and parents.
